Metvico has established this Privacy Policy to inform Users, in a transparent manner, about the website hosted at www.metvico.be (hereinafter the “Website”) and the way personal data is collected and processed by Metvico.

The term “User” refers to any user, whether a natural person or legal entity, who visits the Website or interacts with it in any manner.

As Data Controller, Metvico determines the technical, legal and organizational means, as well as the purposes, for processing Users’ personal data. Metvico undertakes to take all necessary measures to ensure that personal data is processed in accordance with the Belgian Act of 30 July 2018 on the protection of natural persons regarding the processing of personal data and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR).

Metvico is free to appoint a natural or legal person to process Users’ personal data on its behalf (hereinafter the “Processor”). Where applicable, Metvico undertakes to select a Processor that provides sufficient guarantees regarding the implementation of appropriate technical and organizational measures in compliance with applicable legislation.

 

2. Processing of Personal Data

The use of the Website by Users may result in the collection of personal data. The processing of such data by Metvico, acting as Data Controller, or by service providers acting on behalf of Metvico, is carried out in accordance with applicable legislation and GDPR.

a. Right of Access

d. Right to Restriction of Processing

Users have the right to request restriction of processing in the situations provided for under Article 18 GDPR.

Metvico will inform recipients of any restriction unless impossible or disproportionate.

e. Right to Data Portability

In accordance with Article 20 GDPR, Users have the right to receive their personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.

Users may also request that such data be transferred directly to another controller where technically feasible.

This right does not affect the right to erasure and does not apply to processing necessary for tasks carried out in the public interest or under official authority.

f. Right to Object and Automated Decision-Making

Users may object at any time, on grounds relating to their particular situation, to the processing of their personal data.

Metvico will cease processing unless compelling legitimate grounds override the User’s interests, rights and freedoms or unless the processing is necessary for legal claims.

Where personal data is processed for direct marketing purposes, Users have the right to object at any time. Once an objection is made, personal data will no longer be processed for such purposes.
